This blue-green spiral-shaped alga grows under ecologically optimal conditions and besides its special nutrient density distinguishes by its, , high carotenoid concentration -52 mg/10g (comp. Hawaii: approx. 37 mg/10g)- and chlorophyll concentration -178 mg/10g (Hawaii: approx. 79 mg/10 g) (analysis of 3rd June 2002, Lot-no.: SP-814963), which for a spirulina is quite unusual.
The development and control of our spirulina products has been done by scientists who can refer to decades of experiences in algae research. Raw materials and finished products are subject to continuous quality control by an accredited laboratory. Due to specialized production and careful hygiene a high quality standard is a natural course of action. The IGV Institut für Getreideverarbeitung (Institute for Cereal Processing), which issues analyses for us, works on the basis of a quality management system which is based on the guidelines of ISO 9000. The laboratory areas are accredited according to the quality standard DIN EN 45001.
